My Model
Leadership is a complex subject within organizations, communities, or institutions. Northouse (2016) defines leadership as the process by which an individual influences a group of people to achieve a shared goal.
Furthermore, the conceptualization of leadership emphasizes that a leader needs to apply positive personality traits, behaviors, and cognition skills.
My Model
My leadership model is the fusion of the transformational
leadership theory, relational leadership model, and ethical leadership.
My leadership model's foundation reflects intention, confidence, determination, and an openness to collaborate with others. I believe that at the core, a good leader must establish a well-understood foundation of consistently applied ethics- "Doing the right thing, at the right time." As an ethical leader, I promote fairness and offer equal opportunities to all followers. Ethical leadership encourages fairness to encourage the well-being of the organization, community, or individuals.
I incorporate a leadership approach where the leader is sensitive to the needs of those under them and applies selfless wisdom to inspire others and assist the followers in their development. I believe a visionary leader does not discard the past, is aware of the present, and looks to the future with optimism and openness.
